Notre Dame considers lifting some more COVID restrictions in May

The arrival of the month of May brings with it the potential for more changes to Notre Dame’s COVID restrictions.

The University tells The South Bend Tribune that they plan on dropping their weekly surveillance testing this month for students who are fully vaccinated. But they will only take this step if enough students receive their second shot.

The school will also not require exit testing at the end of the semester for fully vaccinated students.

Notre Dame lifted a number of restrictions in April after more than 90 percent of its students received at least their first vaccine.
