New information regarding police pursuit, crash at Lincolnway West & Ironwood

More information has been released about a police chase that ended with a crash at Lincolnway West and Ironwood.

The pursuit started, Monday morning, May 3, when Mishawaka Police say they spotted a wanted suspect on East Douglas Road. By the time the chase ended, three squad cars were damaged, as was two passenger vehicles and the truck the suspect was in.

The prosecutor’s office says 30-year-old Nicholas Singleton, who was driving the truck when it crashed, ending the pursuit, was booked into the St. Joseph County Jail on preliminary suspicion of resisting law enforcement; leaving the scene of a crash; and criminal recklessness, as well as his active and outstanding warrants.

His passenger, 30-year-old Krystal Pinkowksi, was also booked on preliminary suspicion of Resisting, leaving the scene and obstruction of justice.
