A home was destroyed following a fire early Monday morning on the north of Tippecanoe Lake.

The Leesburg Fire Department was called out to a home on EMS T34 Lane just before 3 AM on Monday, where firefighters saw the backside of a home on fire. Officials say four people were inside of the home when the blaze started, but all escaped safely and without injury.

The home is considered a total loss and its cause remains under investigation, however officials believe it started from a grill that was on a back porch.
