Two men who robbed Dollar General in Elkhart sentenced

Two men who admitted to robbing an Elkhart store at gunpoint have been sentenced.

Kar’dai Grant, 20, and Zirei Jackson, 22, pleaded guilty to robbery while armed with a deadly weapon and criminal confinement while armed in connection with the 2019 robbery at the Dollar General on East Bristol Street.

Both men received a sentence of 23 years in prison followed by five years probation.

Police were alerted about the robbery by an employee’s spouse, who heard the incident unfold over the phone.
