A 5 year-old boy died Friday afternoon after he was found in water at Shanklin Park.

The boy was reported missing shortly after noon on Friday and found a short time later by a parks employee who attempted CPR, according to WSBT.

The child, who was from Goshen, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Elkhart County Homicide is investigating.
