A woman turning into a private driveway was injured in a hit and run crash Saturday afternoon.

It happened at 3:30 pm in Cass County’s Howard Township on Lake Shore Drive and Barron Lake Road.

Sheriff Behnke’s office reports that a 78 year-old resident was turning into a driveway when her car was struck by a blue and gray Ford Escape. The offending vehicle continued westbound on Lake Shore Drive.

The woman was taken to Spectrum Health in Niles with minor injuries. The investigation continues.
