The Cass County Sheriffs Department responded to a crash near the intersection of M-60 an Yankee Street in Howard Township on Wednesday.

Just before midnight, a 43-year-old Dowagiac man drove off the road and rolled his vehicle, finally coming to rest on its side just South of Yankee street.

The man had to be extricated and was then transported to Memorial Hospital by ambulance for his injuries.

Authorities say alcohol and drugs do appear to be a factor in the crash. This case remains under investigation.
