There are many reasons why you may be paying a little more than you normally do for fireworks this year. It’s mainly because of a fireworks shortage.

As we get closer to the Fourth of July, many Hoosiers are stocking up on fireworks that they plan to set off for the holiday, but industry experts say prices for fireworks are going to be higher this year because of difficulties with shipping product to stores.

Most fireworks are made in China and they say it is taking longer this year for products to ship to the U.S. Consumer demand is also way up, likely a side effect of lower demand in 2020 because of the pandemic.
