Longer trips and time away appears to be the trend when it comes to summer vacation.

That’s according to a poll by GlobalData which shows pent-up demand, savings on expenses such as gas, last year, and the ability to more easily work away from the office as the main reasons.

The travel website Travel Pulse reports the poll also shows more than a quarter of those asked would prefer taking a trip of over ten nights.

An incentive for longer overseas stays is the requirement to show a negative COVID-19 test, Travel Pulse reported.

The survey says those planning trips abroad want to make sure the effort going into the virus test is well worth it.
