The DNR says nearly 100 properties in Michigan will be auctioned off for private ownership.

The funds raised will be used to help provide future outdoor recreation opportunities, and M-Live reports that lake front properties will be among the 97 locations for sale in the state.

The auctions are planned for August and September and include an unspecified property on Berrien County’s lakefront, to be auctioned off on August 24.

Those interested in placing bids can register in advance and learn more about the auction schedule at http://tax-sale.info.
