Another school district has signaled a return to normal when classes resume in the fall.

The Superintendent of Edwardsburg Schools sent a letter to parents stating that face masks would be optional for students and staff when classes resume on Sep. 7.

It’s just part of the return to pre-pandemic practices in the district district as students will no longer be required to maintain social distance.

The letter also stated that vaccinations would not be required for students and the district would no longer require quarantine those who’ve been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, though it would continue to contact trace and virus cases.

Regarding athletics, the district plans to follow COVID-19 rules and recommendations from the Michigan High School Athletic Association.
