A Granger woman has been sentenced for a ghost employment crime at a Fort Wayne dental practice.

Angela Jasinski, 31, was given eight months of home detention and 80 hours of community service. She was also ordered to pay more than $68,000 in restitution.

Court documents say Jasinski worked for an hourly wage at the dental practice until March of 2016 when she left the job. Her brother worked there as well and through his efforts she remained on the payroll for 18 months.

They and a third party defrauded the business owner of more than $3 million.
