Pedestrian struck by train, killed in Three Oaks

One person is dead after being struck by an Amtrak train in Three Oaks.

The collision happened just before 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 15, at South Elm Street and West Central Avenue.

Few details have been released what led to the victim’s death.

The rail is a high-speed line with trains traveling as fast as 110 miles per hours.
