Justin Miller pleads not guilty to murder in Mercedes Lain case

Another not guilty plea from the man accused of killing Mercedes Lain.

Justin Miller pleaded not guilty to murder, Friday, Sep. 3, in a Starke County courtroom.

He previously pleaded not guilty to neglect of a dependent in Marshall County.

Miller is accused of killing Lain last month while babysitting her and then leaving her body in the woods in Starke County.

The coroner stated that Lain died due to blunt force injuries.

Her death was ruled a homicide.

Miller indicated he was the last person to see her alive.
