Police are trying to find out who was hit and killed while walking on State Road 2.

The pedestrian was hit around 4 a.m. on Monday, Sep. 6.

St. Joseph County Police say the victim was walking on the road near Pine Road when he was hit by a car.

The driver of that car called police and is cooperating.

The victim did not have an ID on him.
