Goshen Police looking into two store robberies where mace was used

Police in Goshen are investigating two store robberies where mace was used against employees.

The first robbery happened just after 5:00 p.m., Monday afternoon, at the Ulta Beauty store on Midway Road.

Around 20 minutes later, a robbery was reported at the Meijer store on Elkhart Road.

The suspect tried to use mace on a worker at the Ulta store, but missed. Some of the Meijer employees were hit by the spray.

The suspect took about $2,000 in merchandise in total from both stores, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

Police believe the crimes are connected, but so far, there’s no information about possible suspects or arrests.
