$1000 reward offered for information that leads to shooting suspects’ arrests

Around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday Sep. 26, officers with the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety responded to the 300 Block of Lake Street in Benton Harbor for a complaint of gunfire.

Officers responded and found a scene where over 40 rounds were fired from various weapons. Officers located at least two homes also struck by gunfire. During the investigation a citizen bystander recorded the gunfire and then the suspected shooters running back to getaway cars waiting in the 300 Block of Lake.

The vehicles are identified as a White Jeep Cherokee, a Black Kia Sedona, and Grey Ford Focus. The Jeep and Kia are still outstanding and the Focus was located and is being processed by crime scene technicians.

Suspects and motive are being sought, the investigation is still ongoing.

BHDPS is currently offering a $1000.00 reward leading to an arrest/s in this incident.
