Elkhart man sentenced for killing man in Kentucky

An Elkhart man received a 45-year sentence after he was convicted of stabbing a man to death in Kentucky.

36-year-old Mach Sar was convicted in the multiple stabbing death of 29-year-old Somrhut Phan, last year, at a mobile home park in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Police found the victim while responding to a call about a domestic . Sar fled to Elkhart immediately after the murder, where he was found and arrested, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

The Elkhart Truth reports Sar will be eligible to go before the parole board after serving 20 years of his sentence.
