The Catholic Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend has issued their response to the lawsuit filed against the former Volleyball Coach at South Bend St. Joseph High School.

Former coach Justin Cochran is the subject of the lawsuit and complaint, which the diocese says has “a number of substantial errors and omissions.” A spokesperson says since the case is in litigation they are unable to comment on any specifics.

Three former players allege that Cochran displayed inappropriate behavior, and that school administrators failed to report or act on his actions. The diocese says the staff at St. Joseph did review and respond to the allegations made against the coach and school, and worked in cooperation with the Department of Child Services during their investigation.
