The body of a little girl pulled from a retention pond near I-80 in Hammond, Thursday, has been identified as one-year-old Jaclyn Dobbs of Deerfield, Illinois.

She was discovered in the water off a ramp from I-80 to Kennedy Avenue.

Investigators in Wheeling, Illinois say she is the daughter of 21-year-old Ja’nya Murphy, who was found strangled to death in her apartment, last week.
