Help is on the way for the exhausted hospitals in Michigan.

Michigan’s Department of Health an Human Services says Governor Whitmer’s request for additional staffing at hospitals in the state has been granted. A new agreement signed last week will send two medical teams to local hospitals to relieve doctors and nurses as they treat COVID and other patients.

WSJM reports that hospitals in West Michigan will be among the first to get some relief. Over 20 percent of hospital inpatients in Michigan are COVID positive, with that number as high as half at certain facilities.
