A 21-year-old man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after he was found inside a truck with a gunshot wound.

Goshen Police were sent to the 200 block of North Indiana Avenue around 12:30, Sunday afternoon, on the report of a crash involving a truck and a parked car.

On arrival, officers found a 21-year-old man inside the truck with a gunshot wound. He was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment.

Officers also discovered damage to some homes in the area and another vehicle, due to bullet holes.

The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is investigating, but police believe the shooting is an isolated event.
