Michigan’s Governor made a statement Tuesday, hours after a shooting at Oxford High School near Detroit.

Governor Whitmer said she was “devastated for the students, teachers, staff, and families of Oxford High School.” She called the death of multiple students and the shooting of others, as well as a teacher, “horrific.”

Whitmer urged Michiganders to “come together and help children feel safe at school.”
