Daveyaun Groves sentenced to 75 years for fatal shooting of Jeremiah Parker

Daveyaun Groves has received his sentence for the murder of Jeremiah Parker.

The 20 year-old South Bend man was found guilty of murder with a firearms sentencing enhancement for the July 2020 murder of Parker during a trial last month.

Groves was sentenced to 75 years in prison, according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office. He was given a 55-year sentence for murder, with an additional 20 years for the firearm enhancement. Parker was shot and killed on Marine Street in July of 2020.
