Father, son, killed in head-on crash on M-60 in Cass County

A father and his son were killed and two other people were hurt in head-on a crash in Cass County.

The collision happened around 8:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, on M-60 near Pine Lake Street in Howard Township.

Michigan State Police say a veicle driven by Phillip Parker, 30, of Centerville, was traveling westbound, crossed the center line and struck an SUV.

Parker and his son, 5, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two people in the SUV suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Factors into the crash remain under investigation.
