The Indiana Court of Appeals has ruled that a child molester from LaPorte should not receive a reduction in his sentence.

The court has rejected 48 year-old Kristopher K. Blouir’s request. The Northwest Indiana Times reports that he pleaded guilty in February to molesting a 10 year-old child, and then again when that child was 14.

He was sentenced to 36 years in prison and ordered to serve 30 after the sentence for an additional count was suspended.

Blouir tried to persuade the court that something closer to the statutory 20-year minimum was more appropriate. The court disagreed, but he can ask the Indiana Supreme Court to consider reviewing his case and ask again that his three decade prison term be reduced.
