Two people have allegedly admitted to robbing a store in January, saying the needed the money to move into their own apartment.

Back on January 5, New Carlisle Police were called to a liquor store for reports of a robbery. There, a store clerk told officers that a black male and black female robbed her.

The clerk stated that the two entered together, but the female stayed at the door while the male approached the counter with a gun demanding the clerk give him the money.

According to ABC 57 News, security footage from the store showed the two arriving in a red Chrysler Sebring convertible, as well the man holding the gun.

This prompted officers to review all registered owners of that vehicle in Indiana.

A few months later, a red Sebring convertible registered to Makaela Martin was pulled over in Kosciusko County. The driver was identified as Antuan White.

During the stop, officers discovered a revolver that matched the revolver from the January robbery.

When questioned in July, Martin said she and White robbed the store because they needed the money to move out of his mothers home.

The are both being charged with armed robbery.
