The Mishawaka City Hall, police, and utilities will soon be located under the same roof.

The former Liberty Mutual Building will become the hub for local government business, moving it to the center of The Princess City’s downtown area.

Mayor Dave Wood told WSBT that the move is important and long overdue, saying the new centralized location will make things more convenient for citizens to access city services.

The original plan was to unite city hall and the police, but the extra available space made it sensible to move Mishawaka Utilities in as, as well, given the dilapidated condition of their current headquarters.
