John Schultz IV has accepted an agreement to plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit murder in connection to the alleged school shooting plot in Fulton County.

The deal was offered after eight hours of jury deliberations headed toward a second deadlock.

Schultz’s first trial, last year, ended in a mistrial.

ABC 57 reports Schultz’s changed his plea to guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit murder. In exchange, a second count of conspiracy, intimidation, possession of a narcotic drug and possession of methamphetamine charges were dropped.

Sentencing is scheduled for March 7. where Schultz could face 10 to 30 years. However, as part of the plea agreement, Schultz could go into immediate probation instead of facing time in prison, ABC 57 reported.
