The Morris Performing Arts Center received a $1 million donation last week. On Friday, the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County made the donation, which puts the Center a step closer to their $30 million goal for renovations and upgrades to the historic South Bend building.
ABC 57 reports that construction to revamp the Morris is now scheduled to begin on July 27th, and it will reopen in September.
