A man has been arrested after allegedly strangling three children.

Police were called to the 1200 block of County Road 15 just after 4:15 Saturday morning where they were approached by a 13-year-old and five-year-old child. The children told the officers that their father had just battered and strangled them and their 14-year-old sister.

ABC 57 News reports that medics arrived and took the children to the hospital for treatment.

Officers obtained a search warrant for the home, and arrested Steven Jackson, 49, on the following charges:

• Three Counts of Strangulation
• Three Counts of Intimidation
• Two Counts of Battery on a Child Less than 14 Years of Age
