South Bend man receives sentencing for 2019 carjacking

It’s 222 months in prison for a South Bend man who pleaded guilty to three counts of carjacking.

It was back in August and September of 2019 when prosecutors say 29-year-old Miles Wilbourn and some accomplices lured victims to a South Bend apartment complexes under false pretenses.

When the victims arrived, prosecutors say Wilbourn and his accomplices attacked and robbed them, stealing their cars, and wallets.

One of the victims was so severely beaten they had to be hospitalized.
