A Logansport man has been sentenced in federal court in South Bend to 70 months in prison after pleading guilty to possessing an unregistered sawed-off shotgun.

According to court documents, 27-year-old Sean Beebout was caught by the Indiana DNR hunting deer without a license.

During the execution of a search warrant at his home, investigators found five firearms, including two sawed-off shotguns, crossbows, a firearm suppressor, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

Federal prosecutors say Beebout had three prior felony convictions and committed this federal offense while on bond for another felony offense.
