Governor Holcomb has signed a bill making parts of his COVID emergency order into state law, which means his order has been rescinded nearly two years after it was out in place.

With the order being lifted, the state will no longer receive expanded food stamp benefits starting April 15th. The bill will also ban employers from mandating COVID shots for workers unless they offer exemptions to the mandate.

Along with signing the bill Holcomb also signed an executive order officially ending the emergency order.

He left the order in place for as long as he did so the state could collect extra benefits so that resources had the funding they needed to help people struggling because of the pandemic.

Those resources are now shored up by the bill the governor signed.
