Crash on M-40 in Cass County results in two being extricated from a vehicle

Two people had to be extricated from a vehicle after a crash on M-40 in Cass County.

The collision happened just after 10 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, south of Pioneer Street in Marcellus Township.

Investigators say a 33-year old Three Rivers woman was traveling south, then crossed the center lane, left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

Both she and her passenger, a 34-year-old man from Three Rivers, had to be airlifted from the scene.

Seat belts were worn. It is unknown if alcohol, drugs or speed were factors in this crash.

The factors investigation by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
