Goshen man, 45, shot in chest, recovering

A 45-year-old Goshen man is recovering after being shot.

Police in Goshen were called just after 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, to the 800 block of South 11th Street on the report of a fight with weapons.

While en route, Elkhart County Dispatch told officers that one of the individuals had been shot in the chest.

The victim was cooperative with police. He was taken to the hospital where his condition was stabilized.

Officials say this was an isolated incident with no greater threat present to the rest of the local community.

So far, there is no word of any arrests or details about what started the fight.
