A Grammy Award-winning teacher visited Mishawaka High School on Monday.

Mickey Smith Jr. was at the home of the Cavemen on Monday. The winner of the 2020 Grammy Music Educator Award met with teachers and students to share motivational stories, according to ABC 57.

The band classes heard about Smith’s love for music and were given a motivational talk about pursuing their own dreams. Smith has traveled the country since winning the Grammy, as well as a number of accolades in his home state of Louisiana.
