Elkhart Monger Elementary 3rd Graders win bikes for reading

A group of 3rd Graders in Elkhart were surprised recently with a big reward for their reading efforts.

Every year, 3rd Graders at Monger Elementary participate in a reading challenge, with one boy and girl each getting a brand-new bike. The more they read, the better their chances.

WSBT reports that this year, things were a little different. Every student earned at least one ticket in this year’s drawing after working extra hard on their reading, and thanks to a generous donation…ALL of them won a new bike.

When the last bike was picked, the students took a victory lap around the school.
