Lifeguards needed for community pools

Local pools are looking for lifeguards for the coming season.

Splashing and swimming will be back at community swimming pools soon, and some of the pools in the area are having a tough time finding lifeguards.

WSBT reports that cities like South Bend and Elkhart are offering incentives to recruit them, including waiving certification fees and increasing the pay.

Candidates in The State of Indiana must be at least 15 years old.

Certifications last up to two years.
