Child in critical condition after shooting in South Bend

One child is in critical condition after a shooting in South Bend.
Police were called shortly before 10:30, Saturday night, to the 1000 block of Woodbine Way on the report of a shooting. Officers arrived and discovered two juvenile relatives involved.
A five year old boy was seriously injured and is in extremely critical condition at Memorial Hospital. The other, a 9 year-old relative, was not physically injured but is said to be experiencing significant trauma.
The police say this appears to have been an isolated incident and are calling it accidental.
