The victim in Tuesday night’s deadly shooting outside the Linden Grill on South Michigan Street in South Bend is the mother of the Kyler Jackson, the five-year-old, who was accidentally shot and killed, earlier this month, by a nine-year-old relative.

Officers were called around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, to the 100 block of South Michigan Street on the report of a shooting.

32 year-old Kaylynn Davidson was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries.

Police interviewed several people and arrested 26 year-old Kimarie Wright in connection with the shooting.

Davidson’s death marks the fourth life, in a week, lost to gun violence in South Bend.
