The Mishawaka school board has announced their top candidate to take the Superintendent’s post.

Dr. Theodore Stevens worked for Mishawaka Schools as their Director of Assessment, High Ability Programs and Technology in the Administrative Center. Board President Holly Parks tells ABC 57 News she’s excited to invite him back, given past history of success.

Stevens also worked as Principal of LaSalle Elementary.

The board’s next step is to draw up a contract.

If the board and Stevens agree on the terms, he’d start in July. The district’s current leader, Dr. Wayne Barker, is the top candidate to take over as Superintendent for Northwest Allen County Schools in the Fort Wayne area.
