(Jordan Fouts/Elkhart Truth)

The St. Joseph County Council has approved The Honeysuckle Solar Farm Project.

It’s bringing a new solar farm to the New Carlisle area.

The $164 million project will be built on farm land, providing solar energy to St. Joseph County in 2024.

They say that the project will provide around 200 construction jobs, with the majority of them to be filled by local workers.

Great idea. Gobbled up more farm land as food shortages increase. You can;t make fertilizer from solar panels.

Yet the politicians making these decisions don’t have solar panels on their properties. I never see solar panels on government schools and government buildings.
