A man was arrested after allegedly breaking into the house of a woman with a protection order against him.

It happened on Thursday, July 14, when Mishawaka police responded to a burglary alarm that was activated at a home.

When they arrived, officers say the victim was running from a man who was chasing her.

The victim says that she went into her home and the man, 25-year-old Ramone Thompson, forced himself in after her.

Thompson allegedly broken into the victims house earlier, through an AC unit in her window, and accused her of having a man in her home.

That’s when the victim convinced Thompson to go outside with her.

ABC 57 News reports that police caught Thompson as he tried to leave through the back door.

He was arrested on charges of residential entry and invasion of privacy.

He is due back in court on August 10.
