Schools in Elkhart County are reporting some improvement in their standardized test scores.

New data from the state shows Elkhart County students showing academic improvement in 2022, as schools continue to recover from pandemic-related disruptions.

The Elkhart Truth reports that the 2022 ILEARN scores released last week show more than half the school districts in the county scored above the state average for Language and Math.

Wa-Nee Community Schools scored the highest at 53.1%. That’s a full 5 percent higher than the previous number.

The county’s largest school district, Elkhart Community Schools, scored the lowest at 13.6%, but still showed some improvement from last year’s 12.8%.
