South Bend man arrested after marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine found in residence

The Indiana State Police All Crimes Policing Team and the South Bend Police Department Strategic Focus Unit joined together for a suspected drug dealing investigation a few months ago.

The investigation caused a warrant to be served at a residence in the 500 block of South 27th Street at approximately 6:40 a.m. on Friday, July 22.

Approximately 200 pills were found and were tested positively for methamphetamine. Around eight grams of cocaine, 800 grams of suspected marijuana, and marijuana edibles were also seized. Thousands of dollars of United States currency was found, and a handgun was also located in proximity to the drugs.

Chris Harris, 33, of South Bend was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Dealing Methamphetamine, Possession of Cocaine, Dealing Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Dealing Marijuana, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Harris was transported to the St. Joseph County Jail.
