Man arrested after allegedly beating man with baseball bat

A 24-year-old man was arrested for allegedly beating a man with a baseball bat. Officers were called around 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, to the 300 block of 8th Street on the report of a fight with weapons.
Upon arrival, officers located a male who was struck in the head with a baseball bat.
Paramedics took the victim to Goshen Hospital for treatment of a laceration to the side of the head.
Travis Guntle was arrested for battery using a deadly weapon and taken to the Elkhart County Jail.
