The Morris Performing Arts Center is celebrating summer with Fridays by the Fountain. It’s during lunchtime at 11:45 today. You can head downtown, bring your lunch, and enjoy live music, for free. Today’s featured artist is Van Dyke Revue.

Summer classic movies are continuing at the Elkhart Public Library this morning, starting at 9:30. Popcorn and water are both provided for a showing of “The Wizard of Oz.” It’s the last Friday for the event, so head to the downtown location and enjoy.

Looking ahead to next Saturday, the Lerner Theater is presenting their Best of Broadway Campers as they showcase what they’ve learned during their five day camp. There will be singing, dancing, and acting.

There’s a lot to see at the Blue Gate Theater this weekend. It’s the last weekend to see A Neil Diamond Tribute, which tells the story of his life through his iconic songs. If that’s not your groove, you can see Michael W. Smith tonight at 8. He’s an author, actor, and artist. And on Saturday, a trio of musicians will be taking the stage, with Janie Fricke, T.G. Sheppard, and Johnny Lee.

The South Bend Cubs are at home tonight, facing off against the Lake County Captains. First pitch is set for 7:05. And, after the game you’re in for a treat, with Fantastic Friday Fireworks.

If you haven’t been to the Elkhart County 4H Fair yet, it’s not too late. This afternoon, you can watch a live rodeo with some of the best cowboys and cowgirls across the country. On Saturday, show off your iconic car or look at all the vintage vehicles, during the classic car cruise starting at 9 o’clock. If you don’t like cars, you can watch them be destroyed during the Demolition Derby the same day.

Animals, live music, and rides, the Indiana State Fair has it all slated for this weekend. This morning, enjoy a Selfie Photo Trail and an Antique Tractor Show. Saturday, there’s more to do, including Kid’s Pretzel Decorating and a Llama Show. And on Sunday, there’s a Cat Show and a Live Reptile Program. Whiting’s Pierogi Fest returns this weekend. It is a festival that features the Eastern European snack, along with many other unique foods. Visitors can enjoy live music, a parade, vendors, and more. It’s happening today, tomorrow and Sunday. There is more information at pierogifest.net.
