A Benton Township man was killed in an apparent hit-and-run collision.
It happened around 10:15 p.m. on Friday, July 29, in the area of Walnut and Chicago Avenue.
Officers arrived to find the man, down, in the road. He died at the hospital. Eyewitnesses described the vehicle involved as a red, 1997-2003 Ford F-150 pickup truck with possible driver-side headlight and bumper damage.
