Mishawaka Police warn to not cross in front of trains

Do not try to cross in front of any train. That’s the reminder from Mishawaka Police after a man was struck by a Norfolk Southern train at the Hendricks Street crossing.
Emergency crews were called just before 12 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, to the scene.
They say the 30-year-old who was hit appeared to be running across the tracks.
The man was take to Memorial Hospital in South Bend with non-life-threatening injuries.
Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact the MPD Detective Bureau at 574-258-1684.
